Letters From Cuba was my first time attempting projected scenery, and was brought on by the switch from live theatre to online streaming during the pandemic. Having no background in graphic design, I was mentored by Erin Bjorn, an experienced scenic designer and projectionist. For this first project, I researched and designed the projected backgrounds and programmed them into our streaming system on OBS and Zoom. Erin Bjorn created the final graphics and animated the scene transitions.

Again working with Erin Bjorn as my mentor, I designed projections for Manual for a Desperate Crossing. Unlike Letters, Manual's setting was to be more realistic to keep the gravitas of the piece. When designing, I sourced backgrounds from stock footage and created some custom images in the form of blueprints. Erin Bjorn helped with editing footage and masking effects to change time of day and create a helicopter search light.
